Has anyone tried any of these out? It would be nice to get at our files remotely... w/ open source solutions:

http://oliver.sourceforge.net/ or http://www.horde.org/gollem/

It seems like it might be nice in conjunction w/ ddclient & a dyndns.org account.

Oliver seems to be out of date (2006) and not very well maintained.

Horde+Gollem is current, but may be too bulky/cumbersome for our boxes. I've got them installed on my LS2 (using OpenEmbedded) but there is still some configuration that needs to be done... not so straightforward...

For starters, I had to tweak a setting in horde/config/config.php: had to make sure this line was set to false:
Code:
($conf['session']['use_only_cookies'] = false;)

SSH is used from the command line, like this: ssh -l username server_hostname_or_IP

There is a SSH-GUI around somewhere (sourceforge?). But are you wanting some kind of Windows admin tools (clients) on Linux?

There is also a way of getting an X display over SSH, if you are connecting to another *nix server.

Perhaps you could explain exactly what it is you want to do?
