Dear everyone
I bought my LS2 serveral days ago. And flash it with linkstation-debian-mips-wyw-20050922.tar file. It is a fast flash file for LS2. And mldonkey 2.5.1 had been installed on the system. When I use mldonkey,I found it is hard to download with emul. For the version is too old. So I delete mldonkey form LS2 using command #apt-get delete mldonkey-server. And try to install a new version. Using apt-get install mldonkey-server fails, for the core of sysytem is 2.4,it requries 2.6 core.So I need to compile source pack.I have tried 2.7.2/2.8.1/2.8.4/2.9.1. They all failed. I download source pack of mldonkey from net. And compile them. When using command ./configure and command make all ok. When I use command make install. Error shows "make: no: Command not found make: *** [src/utils/lib/date.cmx] Error 127 ". How can I install high version mldonkey onto my LS2? It is really puzzle me. Please help me. Thanks so much.

try these precompiled mldonkey cores:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4034
http://mldonkey.sourceforge.net/phpBB2/ ... 7075#27075

where did you download linkstation-debian-mips-wyw-20050922.tar ?

you did not download freelink?
http://buffalo.nas-central.org/download/LS2_MI ... /Freelink/

anyway. i am aware of the debian problems and 2.6....the glibc needs a 2.6 kernel.
you could get around this by installing the UBoot bootloader and the 2.6.22 kernel:
http://www.linuxnotincluded.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/

beware that the uboot bootloader is still experimental...it seems to depend on the used flash chip if you can write to the flash from uboot or the 2.6.22 kernel....the MX works the ST times out.

try the precompiled cores.

Thx to all donators!

thanks for your quick replay. I use apt-get install mldonkey-server version 2.81, but this version have lots of bugs( can not connect to the server). so I download the precompiled mldonkey cores.

what I have done as follow:
1. remane the 2.81 mlnet file to mlnet.old
2. copy 2.92 mlnet to /usr/bin
3. run mlnet

but it gave me "-bash: /usr/bin/mlnet:permission denied.

I have try chomd 0755 /usr/bin/mlnet, but it still gave me same message. if I go back to run the 2.81 mlnet, It won't give me this message.

See if

/bin/sh /usr/bin/mlnet

works for you. If it does, run "chmod 0755 /usr/bin/mlnet". If it still doesn't work, there might be a problem with the directories to use. In this case, run

/bin/sh -x /usr/bin/mlnet
