Hello!

I've spent the last hours searching the web and especially this forum for an answer but couldn't find any solution to my problem.

Here's my situation:
  • TS-H2.0TGL/R5 (when logging into telnet announctes itself as TS-RHTGL/R5(KAIKA) )
  • Flashed to FW 1.35
  • Got Telnet to work with acp_commander
  • Unable to login into telnet with root, admin works with standard password but then I haven't got any write privileges. (right when logging in, it says: sh: /etc/profile: Permission denied)
  • su and sudo are unknown commands to the device

I'd love to gain root access on this device. Has anybody got something I could try?

All the best,
Boris

I have the same TS Pro II unit. You can't use FW 1.35 with ACP Commander to get root access. It breaks it. You need to downgrade to 1.33 and ACP Commander will work again. With version 1.35 it reports that it worked but really doesn't ("The proof is in the pudding" as they say on this one.)
