I recently walked into my office and found my TS sitting there with the diag light blinking six times and pausing over and over. Through normal research, this appears to be an HD error. However, I have replaced each drive in the array with a new drive one by one and no luck. I also tried to boot the device into EM mode, but it won't boot into this mode. So, I'm pretty much out of luck and have come to the realization that it can't boot into the kernel. So, I attached all of the drives to a Windows XP PC I have and tried to recover my data using UFS Explorer. However, UFS Explorer doesn't see all of the data that I had stored on the drives. It only sees part of it. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

If you only want to recover your data, use Ubuntu as your OS for now.

You can use Ubuntu using trial mode.

If you are now booted in Ubuntu environment, try to plug your HD via USB.

Now, you can read your files from your HD. Also do this command,

sudo su

so that you can copy your files from your kurobox HD to your another drive.

That's all.

The 6 flashes can also be caused by any sort of issue with the system files on the hard disk.

If the sytem can be seen by the firmware flashing program, then normally simply reflashing in Dignostic mode and selecting the option to clear the user config data tends to cure this problem.
