Howdy all;

[Short version]
I wanted to upgrade to the last 2.6 available via Andre's Amazing  webinstaller. Everything seems to go fine but, at the end of it all, everything still reports 2.4. Am I missing something?

[Long version]

I took my stock LS1 and "freelinked" it. On log in, the system reports:

- Freelink v1.11 and
- Linux 2.4.17_mv121-sandpoint.

Then, I pop on over to Andre's webinstaller site http://hvkls.dyndns.org/downloads/documentation/README-webinstaller.html and follow the "Basic" instructions. The webinstaller script runs w/o complaint & exits with something to the effect of:
Quote:
install finished, you must reboot NOW using
Code:
/usr/local/sbin/kernel26.sh

On reboot, the system still reports:

- Freelink v1.11 and
- Linux 2.4.17_mv121-sandpoint.

Regardless, I decide to install webmin. After a successful install, restart, etc, webmin reports something to the effect of:
Quote:
You are running webmin under 2.4 although you have 2.6 available. Wanna run 2.6?

I say 'yes' and webmin's message goes away. Webmin keeps humming merrily along.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

thx,
-Craig

Ok, so...

How can I make this question more "sexeh?"

On a stock linkstation, I tried to update to 2.6 via andre's webinstaller. The installation proceeds w/o error and I rebooted right afterward as requested but still end up with 2.4.

Anyone seen this before?
