I have installed debian on my hard disk
Linux KURO-BOX 22.214.171.124-kurobox #3 Sat Jul 1 18:25:15 JST 2006 ppc GNU/Linux
using instructions given in http://buffalo.nas-central.org/wiki/Debian_install
Whenever i run apt-get upgrade something gets corrupted and i am unable to boot (red light flashes 6 times)
This time i have installed debian but didn't do apt-upgrade and i can successfully log into debian.
What i want to do is to to log into EM-mode so as to install u-boot without erasing hdd
If already in EM mode it is possible to run echo -n "NGNG" > /dev/fl3
But how do i run this or similar command from debian installed on hdd.
if i run- cat /proc/mtd
i get this
dev: size erasesize name
mtd0: 00300000 00010000 "mtd_firmimg"
mtd1: 00070000 00010000 "mtd_bootcode"
mtd2: 00010000 00010000 "mtd_status"
mtd3: 00080000 00010000 "mtd_conf"
mtd4: 00400000 00010000 "mtd_allflash"
mtd5: 000f0000 00010000 "mtd_data"
any help will be appreciated.
