I recently bought a LS Live, opened the stock firmware, installed optware, and thought that I'd try to compile some small programs on the LS. I installed optware-devel, figuring that it pulled in everything needed.

However when trying to compile a minimum program with "gcc test.c", I get:
/lib/libc.so.6: file not recognized: File format not recognized
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

I'd be grateful if someone could provide pointers to what the problem might be. My guess is that the stock firmware libs and the optware gcc doesn't like each other in some way for some reason, but the Googling hasn't helped me figure out how to solve it. I'd rather not have to replace the whole stock firmware with a custom one.
