I found an addition / duplicated mount point in my LS Live after Optware bootstrap, is this normal or did I break somethings? An additional share .optware also shown up in the LAN, can I remove this share?

It is normal that the same disk appears twice in the mount table. This is called bind mount. It is used here because we'd like /opt to use the existing big disk. I know there're people use symlink instead, mostly the same, but with symlink you can actually know where the physical directory is.

Someone know more about Buffalo firmware can probably answer your second question. It is determined by how the stock samba configuration can be changed.
