Kernel was ported to LS2 and packaged in Debian format.

The kernel uses SCSI emulation and ships both in uboot and ELF formats. Both are in the same package. Please look in /boot.

I do not know how to generate a version with the old IDE driver.

The port is based on Shihsung's patch to and has many modules enabled.

I have not been able to change the LEDs by writing to the serial port. Please let me know if you know how to make /dev/ttyS0 work.

Upon removal the package leaves the module directory behind. Depmod creates some files that prevent full removal. This will hopefully be fixed in the next version.

Any suggestions for improvement are welcome.

Could not figure out how to upload here, so the package was uploaded to Rapid Share:

Thankyou for this lechner

You should ask admins for upload access. I don't want to see this lost so I uploaded to my LS2 directory under lechner-

Did you have to change alot from shihsungs patch in order to compile :?:

Works great*! Thank you very much!

* = Except for /dev/ttyS0, which still doesn't work, but you already mentioned that.

Hi Elchubi, I don't think that it got stuck at that point, but the output of the kernel is just not visible anymore. I think you should use a kernel parameter to tell your kernel to write messages to a UDP port, which you can listen to with netcat.
