Thank you for the response. I think the problem occurred because the ram version loads itself to 0x83f00000. That is also the address the older one was running at. I recompiled to load at 0x83000000 and that worked great. I now have 2009-06 installed.
I also compiled u-boot-2010-12 but am still struggling with sluggish communication when trying to stop autoboot.
Pending your suggestion last year, I flashed my LS2 with foonas-em. To make that work again, I repackaged it as in u-boot format.
Now I am trying to update the kernel, and possibly foonas-em. Ramp's 188.8.131.52 runs great, but I cannot figure out how to recompile it. I built 184.108.40.206 from http://www.linux-mips.org
and applied shihsung's patch (from "Converting to Lenny"). Unfortunately, none of his kernels boot on my box.
Have you seen a kernel patch Ramp might have worked with for 220.127.116.11 (other than LNI's old one for 2.6.22)?
