So far I have installed Berkeleydb (4.5 think its wrong?) with:

./configure --prefix=usr/local --sysconfig=/etc make make install

Then netatalk 2.03 with:

./configure --prefix=/usr/local --with-uams-path=/usr/lib/uams --sysconfdir=/etc --with-bdb=/usr/local

Using libraries:
LIBS = -lnsl -ldl -L$(top_srcdir)/libatalk
CFLAGS = -I$(top_srcdir)/include -g -O2 -I$(top_srcdir)/sys
SSL:
LIBS = -lcrypto
CFLAGS = -I/usr/include/openssl
BDB:
LIBS = -L/usr/local/lib -ldb-4
CFLAGS = -I/usr/local/include/

i went through all that problems a while ago...andre posted here how i should configure netatalk...

i managed to add cracklib-support + SLP-support...but i never released a package because i wasn`t able to add tcp-wrapper support...hell knows why.

i also think that we need to use --without-shadow as long as we do not use /etc/shadow. but maybe it supports both
