following
http://blog.nas-central.org/2008/02/22/ ... ght-place/
i will move the buffalo forum away from forum.nas-central.org.

some administrators told me that it will be much better to have the forum + downloadsection at
http://buffalo.nas-central.org/forum & http://buffalo.nas-central.org/forum instead of inventing an additional subdomain which breaks url auto completion in everyones browser.

i personally expect the forum + downloadsection to be moved within 30 minutes.

the move of the downloadsection of course causes most work regarding fixing links in the wiki. this will take most of the time. anyone is invitied to help fixing those links.

hopefully this will be the last move of the forum + downloadsection ever.

thats a seperate problem regarding ftp.

it would be great if anyone of the other administrators has time to look at the ftp problem.

ok, its done.

here a small log about what i did from the IRC:

mindbender: 1) forums + downloadsection are both moved to new location.
mindbender: 2) all links in forum fixed via sql-replace queries
mindbender: 3) all links from the internet fixed via apache rewrite rules.
mindbender: just use http://downloads.nas-central.org or http://forum.nas-central.org and you see what i mean.
mindbender: 4) also modified old rewrite rules for linkstationwiki.net
mindbender: just try http://downloads.linkstationwiki.net or http://forum.linkstationwiki.net
mindbender: or, to test it even more try http://forum.nas-central.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4896 or http://buffalo.nas-central.org/download/README.TXT
mindbender: 5) additionally fixed all the links to the downloadsection inside the forum. they were also converted via a sql-replace-query.

please report bugs if there are any.

yup, consumed 4 hours yesterday (3 of them i was asking myself why apache did not obey at all), then some friends occupied my room and after drinking 4 beers i decided NOT to mess with sql queries :)

well, today in the morning i thought that i had a clear had....and finally i solved everything again.

a nice learning experience btw for me regarding apache rewriting....
