Have just marked £50 of our balance as reserve money following the last donation (thanks - you know who you are!). This leaves us £3.13 towards the rest - keep it coming people!

Hi timtimred,
How can I donate some Buffalo NAS devices? Currently I have some CL, CHLv1, CHLv2, XHL that have problem with their function button (easy fix with 0.5$ tact switch but I really don't care to fix it since I'm running 5 of them with Debian Lenny for special purpose - so the function button is useless so far) Can I donate some of them to support the community in development and hacking?

If our admins want donations in cash, can we encash them by selling to members here? That's also fine to me....

Thanks to community...

  :D

Sure, which country are you in? Can you post a pic of the button to see how easily fixable it is too, even though people can do stuff without them? Cash donations are good too though, its been a bit slow this year!

Thanks

Hi all this is pretty much cut and paste from the blog but...

We are looking to upgrade our storage on our server with a couple of 2 TB disks. To do this we need to raise approximately $550 USD. We will be using what is currently in the reserve towards this but we need your help getting the rest.

We are advert free and do our best to provide you with this resource thanks to your kind donations. Three years ago you helped us buy a new server, which is now hosted for free at OSUOSL – this is the first new server hardware we have needed since then.

We hope this will be easy to achieve if everyone can give a little!

Please visit http://www.nas-central.org/donations – thank you for your help.

Since I can't login to the main portal to update the balance (something is broken) here is an update...

We have a total of £118.64 GBP including reserve after several generous donations this week. Thanks!

This puts us at about $185.42 USD - almost half way there...

Last night Tom King who manages our servers made up the difference for the first disk and we transferred him our balance of £157.88 for the purchase of the first disk - half way there already!

Following another donation last night our new balance is £20.58 after this transfer.

Thanks again all!
