Hello people,
There was a recent incident in the nas-central VM. Following this most services are back up and running with the current exceptions of:

* Bug tracker
* nas-central blog
* User uploads

In addition to this I have been dealing with user registration spam on the kurobox forums (our ones, not the porn spam filled ones at http://www.kurobox.com) and waite has agreed if possible to merge the content of these forums with the nas-central ones or allow it to be hosted on a nas-central sub-domain.

Suffice to say it took a significant amount of time to reinstall everything basically from scratch apart from database dumps and media backups. In addition while this was happening all the wikis now share one physical installation and this has been upgraded along with the extensions, as have the forums.

If anyone has experience of merging two separate phpbb3 databases please post back here/grab me on IRC.

I've spent rather a lot of time configuring stuff over the past few days so please bear with me has I have christmas stuff to do! I know some of you need upload access - I am considering how this should work following the reinstall and want to hook you up asap however there might be a slight delay here.

mindbender is A.W.O.L. currently, I hope hes OK!

Thanks for your patience. Please don't private message me via the forum, I won't read it :)

Update:

* German and US locale installed back in this forum
* For the time being Kurobox forums live here instead of hanging off an IP http://forum.kurobox.nas-central.org
* I need to be able to edit this forum style, can someone grant me that right please? I dont have permission!

Thanks

You are an admin as timtim and a moderator as timtimred? Fix that please, just one account is enough. Also, could you please restore my SSH access; also tell my if I can help with the server, and how exactly.

Update:

* Bug tracker is back up and upgraded. We should reorganise this to reflect current projects. If you have a project and would find this useful, post back here
* Kurobox forums are now read only, registration disabled - global message pointing to buffalo/nas-central forums
* Blog - I can restore this but will it get used? Do people here want to contribute news about their own developments via a community blog? Post back and let us know
* Git/svn - people should be able to apply for a nas-central.org hosted repository. What do you think?

Update:

Bug tracker has been reorganised slightly. If you are responsible for maintaining anything site related can you please register there if you have not already and I will fix you up to manage the relevant sections, cheers.

Some projects in the bug tracker with no history of issues and no current issues were removed (ie, no bugs/history has been removed) and its a bit less confusing as most things are organised into sub-projects now.

Now, a lot of these sub-projects could be combined with custom fields for platforms into less projects. This is probably a good way to go if we are going to be adding more projects and shouldn't be too painful to change as there arn't too many bugs.

Let us know of any required sites/services changes/issues by the bug tracker please, so we can easily find them and get them fixed asap.
